WEEK 8 CAPSTONE FAREWELL
3 deeply felt learnings from this program
1. The ability to understand diversity. Diversity is occurring on many levels. We have multiple layers that we are diverse and understanding the families we serve. We must stay present in being aware in being diverse and compassionate with all individuals.
2. Empathy- It is important to have empathy when working with Human Beings. Without empathy we are not able to best relate to our fellow man and woman kind. Young children need to see this trait modeled.
3. Humility. This is a very important aspect to have in place when we are able to show a humbleness and humility people can respect our poise. They will want to hear our wisdoms an not feel insecure that we are better than them on any levels
Long-term goals
A conduit of change. As a future Early Child Education Professional, I seek to be a conduit of communication- of inspiration -and of Impact. All of the time and dedication in school will have no bearing, unless I seek to do the necessary work to impact young people and their families on positive levels.
A child advocate and voice.
An informed educator to spread accurate and truthful information.
A voice of reason in times of confusion or challenge
All of these are long term goals I will strive and contribute by putting my words into action.
A farewell message to my Instructor and colleagues
I want to thank our Professor for her guidance. I want to thank the class for allowing me to share what I feel is important in the field
we are seeking to go into. Times are changing in education, we must continue to change with the times. I hope that we all have impactful
careers and teach and inspire those who we meet in the journey. We must strive to help and guide those who seek wisdom. All the best to everyone in the years ahead.
